The Diesel Advantage

If you are planning on running your generator for days on end, it is time to consider a Diesel engine. Diesel also becomes the better choice of fuels for large power needs as diesel engines can offer more torque than their gasoline counterparts, they can also do this at less strain on the engines. This works in two ways, first the larger engines, and diesel design tands to be heavier anyways, then also the diesel engine runs at a much higher compression ratio. The two combined make the already moving parts deliver more power. At smaller loads, this torque advantage does not exist.

Diesel fuel can also be cheaper, and over the long run, you can save a lot in cost if your needs fit well with a Diesel engine's power supply.
